A D&D LIVE SHOW

FALL 2024

An improvised, live D&D actual play set in an alternate universe, following casts of students/professors at the University of Counecicut as their D&D game is brought to UCoun campus through strange magic. As the improvised story unfolds, the audience can change the narrative by voting on party actions.

The first production of this original show was made possible thanks to collaboration with Page to Stage Productions, UConn.

LIVE ACTUAL PLAY

Dungeons & Tuskies uses a live, Actual Play format, in which the cast plays a game of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) and improvises the actions of their characters, while rolling dice to the see the outcome of those actions. Led by a Game Master (GM), the cast explores different locales on UCoun campus, finding mythical creatures at each one, before facing off against their ultimate threat, Jonny the Tusky.

Each night followed a different cast of actors/characters as they explored the transformed UCoun campus with guidance from the GM.

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION

The party's story was changed each night thanks to participation from the live audience. At each stage in the party's adventure, the audience would vote on where within UCoun campus they would next travel to, choosing from locations such as Mouth Dining Hall or The Big Yard.

Once the party reached their destination, the audience would then vote on what mythical creature they found there, ranging from stalking vampires to towering giants.
